Run a marathon or challenge yourself with the 10-mile Ascent in the mountains of Boulder County. Enjoy varied terrain and spectacular views as you follow dirt roads and the Switzerland Trail. The Ascent begins at the Adventure Lodge at the base of Fourmile Canyon and ends in Gold Hill. The marathon starts and finishes at the historic Gold Hill Inn. All proceeds benefit the Fourmile Fire Protection District.

Location: Gold Hill Inn, Gold Hill, CO
10-Mile Ascent participants must park at the finish in Gold Hill; there is no parking available at the start. Please allow plenty of time for parking in Gold Hill(Driving time from Boulder is approximately 35 minutes). Parking is extremely limited, so please make an effort to carpool! Parking for participants will be available at the Bluebird Lodge and along the road in Gold Hill. Buses will shuttle Ascent runners to the start. The first bus will leave at 7:00AM and the last bus will leave at 7:45. Marathon runners - you will be directed to parking near the start/finish.
The A-Lodge, at the base of Fourmile Canyon is offering a 15% discount to race participants for the night before the race (Saturday, May 14th). Show them your registration confirmation to get your discount and mention the race when you make your reservation!
APRES RACE PARTY
Gold Hill Inn is hosting the post-race party with sponsors Trail Runner Magazine and Salomon. There will be plenty to keep you hanging around after the race, so bring some dry clothes to put on and join the party with a live bluegrass band, delicious food from the Gold Hill Inn and Real Athlete Diets, beer from Avery Brewing Co, raffle prizes from RAD, Salomon, Suffer Better, Trail Runner and more!
